Collection: Kuro Galena

[A winery of passion and conviction that weaves the soul of Priorat]

Clos Galena is the realization of the dream of its founder, Miguel Pérez, who was a pharmacist, winemaker and university professor. He firmly believed in the potential of the Priorat terroir and started the project in 1999.

Miguel passed away in April 2013, and his wife, Mercier Dalmau, is now the owner and manager, carrying on Miguel's legacy, along with winemaker and technical director Toni Coca.

The fields belonged to the Carthusian monks of Scala Dei in the Middle Ages.

For this reason, the inspiration that comes from the vineyard is called Domini de la Cartuja (Cartoja Property), in honour of the monks who contributed to the cultivation of the wine and brought with them the spirituality of Priorat.

We approach the terroir with the philosophy that "great wines are born from the unique elements of Priorat's soil and from passionately working in the vineyards. This combination leads to a deeper expression of Priorat."

With a view to the future, a great team continues to produce authentic wines, with a sustainable approach to the natural environment, enabling Miguel to realise his great dream of producing great Priorat wines.
