Tasting notes
As it ages, the aroma develops layers of deep red fruits, dried rose, black tea, licorice and oriental spices.

In the mouth, the rich fruitiness typical of 2009 and the refined acidity that reflects the Montille family's style create a core, and the silky, supple tannins extend elegantly.

The mineral shadows, a hint of forest undergrowth, and the umami flavor derived from aging combine to create a very classic finish that combines finesse and depth.

The aftertaste is long and quietly deep.

Location: adjacent to La Tâche, red soil with strong clayey and mineral content
Age: 40-60 years
Harvesting: Hand-picked and carefully selected
Fermentation: Partial whole-bunch fermentation (approximately 30-50%), wild yeast
Aging: 16-18 months in French oak barrels (45-60% new barrels)
Bottled: Unfined, very lightly filtered
Style: A special cuvée that shows a more powerful side of Montille, with a muscular structure and deep fruitiness.
