Parajes de los Vidrios
Parajes de los Vidrios
Parajes de los Vidrios lies at the heart of the Sierra de Gredos. The project brings together the vineyard experience of Miguel Santiago, a fifth-generation grower in this corner of the world, the oenological knowledge of Manuel Manzaneque and the commercial experience of Aceuniv Grandes Vinos, all in the service of making fine, elegant Madrid wines with real soul.
The vines sit between 800 and 920 metres, planted to Garnacha and Albillo aged from sixty to a hundred years. The soils are poor sand over granite, and the vineyards are worked by horse. The grapes are farmed biodynamically, and everything used in the vineyard — sulphur and copper included — is of natural origin, out of respect for the surrounding environment. In the cellar too the raw material is handled with the greatest possible care, in pursuit of honest wines that reflect the identity of their terroir.
