【A passion handed down the generations — the essence of Bordeaux, grown hand in hand with nature】

Château Puyanché has been in the same family for five generations. It is run today by Bernadette and Joseph Arbo, together with their children.

It began before the First World War with the ambition of great-grandfather Amand, only to be interrupted when he was killed in the fighting. Through years of trial and effort the family gradually won the land back, and from 1998 the Arbos took the reins and put serious winemaking on its feet again.

The estate now farms 51 hectares, producing red and white wines across two appellations: Francs Côtes de Bordeaux and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. Environmental care is taken seriously here — no insecticides are used, and sulphur treatments have been cut by half. The family farms in partnership with nature and is working towards ISO 14001 certification.

Harvesting, pruning and de-budding are all done carefully by hand, and the rows are grassed over to encourage biodiversity. The cellar combines tradition with modern equipment: the reds ferment cool in stainless steel, while the whites spend seven months on their lees in barrel.

Quality comes first at every turn, and the wines carry the family's feeling for nature, kinship and the future in every glass.
