[The essence of Saint-Emilion GC, woven together by history and terroir]
Located in Saint-Émilion, Château Moulin Bellegrave is located on the banks of the Dordogne River, at the highest point of Vignonet. The estate, whose name reflects its ancient viticulture, is set on beautiful gravelly hills. The name of the Château is inspired by the terroir and reflects its traditions.
Run by a passionate family for several generations, the château is planted to Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with vines that are currently on average 45 years old.
Owner and winemaker Antoine Mabillot manages each plot individually, grassing every other row and shallow tilling to promote soil aeration. A late harvest with reduced yields followed by slow fermentation and 12 months of barrel aging allows the wine to achieve balance, complexity and harmony before being blended into the final product of this magnificent Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
In the hands of Antoine Mabillot, this wine embodies all the expertise of Grand Crus: rich in aromas and full on the palate, it is a perfect blend of power, nobility and elegance.
