Château Troplong Mondot 2006 Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B

Château Troplong Mondot 2006

Tasting note

The wine's deep ruby red color reveals a subtle hint of orange on the rim as the glass is tilted, suggesting its maturity. The aroma features rich fruit notes of black cherry and plum, layered with complex, deep nuances reminiscent of violet, cedar, and truffle. On the palate, silky tannins unfold smoothly, harmonizing the rich fruit with the vanilla and spice aromas from the oak barrels. The wine's structure is firm and the acidity is well-maintained, suggesting its potential for long-term aging. The finish is long, with the umami flavors of ripe black fruit and a subtle minerality continuing slowly, leaving the drinker with a deep sense of satisfaction.
