Chateau Belle-Vue 2014

Tasting note

Deep ruby red with subtle hints of garnet on the edges. Immediately after opening, an attractive aroma spreads. In addition to the fruity aroma of ripe cassis, black cherry, and plum, there are elegant nuances of violets and dried herbs. Furthermore, the aroma of barrel aging, such as toasted oak, vanilla, licorice, and subtle spices (clove and cinnamon), adds complexity. The attack is supple and smooth. In the middle, powerful fruit flavors and firm tannins spread, giving the impression of a solid structure. The acidity is moderate, giving the wine freshness and balance. The aftertaste is long and lasting, with hints of dark chocolate, cedar and mineral notes.

Food pairing

Roast beef, lamb chops, duck confit
