1880年にスコットランドから渡ったレンニー兄弟が、マヤカマス山脈の麓に石造りのワイナリーを建て、60エーカーの畑を植えました。その土地を受け継ぐカティアール家が、自社畑のぶどうだけで造る赤です。黒系果実とリコリスの表情豊かな香りにダークココアの風味が重なり、繊細でありながらしっかりとしたタンニンが長く口中に残ります。「ラザフォード・ダスト」の個性を映した、力強く真摯な一本。

Founding Brothers is a wine that powerfully embodies the Rutherford terroir. The expressive aroma is full of black fruit and licorice, with dark cocoa flavours and delicate yet firm tannins that linger long on the palate. This is a powerful and sincere wine that will continue to exude its charm for many years to come.

The grapes are gently destemmed and only the best berries are selected using an optical sorting machine.
Gravity transfers the wine to the fermentation tank, where it undergoes a cold soak for up to 5 days.
Fermentation temperature is controlled below 28°C, with gentle pump-over and punch-down.
After approximately 30 days of tank fermentation, the wine is pressed and undergoes natural malolactic fermentation in new barrels.
Aging period: 16 to 18 months
New barrel ratio: 50% new French oak, 20% large foudres
