非常に濃い赤色を持つペサック・レオニャン。ブラックベリーやカシスといった黒系果実が力強く前に出て、その後に赤系果実やスパイス、胡椒、リコリスの豊かなアロマが広がります。ほのかに火打石の繊細なニュアンスも。口当たりは引き締まりつつも滑らかで、素晴らしい酸が凝縮感とタンニンの構造に支えられています。チェリーやシナモン、ミネラル感が香りと調和する、均整のとれた一本です。

Tasting note

Its intense red colour is intense, with black fruit notes of blackberry and cassis at the forefront, followed by a rich aroma of red fruit, spices, pepper and licorice, with subtle hints of flint. The palate is firm yet smooth, with excellent acidity balanced by a firm concentration and tannic structure. The flavor is well-balanced with the aroma, offering cherry, cassis, blackberry, licorice, cinnamon, and minerally flint notes.

Winemaking & technical data

brewing
Whole-cluster fermentation is carried out in small wooden fermentation tanks maintained at 28°C, with manual punching down.

Aging
The wine is aged for 18 months on the lees in French oak barrels (60% new) made in the chateau's own cooperage. The wine is racked only once, and the aging is adjusted according to the wine.
