Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie 2013 Domaine Bernard Moreau

CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET 1C LA MALTROIE

Tasting note

Alex Moreau himself describes this wine as "a fusion of concentration and linear clarity." Ripe yellow and greenish citrus notes mingle, resulting in a wine that is fuller-bodied yet incredibly mineral. It boasts remarkable breadth and transparency, with a vibrant burst of juicy fruit emerging in the mid-palate. Alluring aromas of pear, fresh mint, orange oil, and honey. After more than a decade of aging, the crisp acidity has mellowed, harmonizing with the plump fruit and saline minerality. Medium to full-bodied with a rich, generous mouthfeel, a core of sweet fruit, and a nutmeg-like finish. This mature masterpiece is absolutely at its peak drinking window now.
