CheckMate's only multi-vineyard blend, and the wine the estate regards as the finest expression of Okanagan Chardonnay. Fruit from three benches — Golden Mile, Black Sage and Osoyoos East — five clones and some 85 m of elevation is brought together to capture both the character of the region and the complexity that distinct sites can create in one blend. Complex aromas of lemon, quince paste and apricot preserves with hints of almond. The palate has a creamy entry with flavours of lemon meringue, lime zest and freshly baked bread, and the crunchy fruit is lifted by a long, textural finish.
