Marsannay - Les Clos 2023

Tasting note

When poured into a glass, the deep cherry red color is layered with ruby sparkles, creating an elegant impression. The aroma is fresh and delicate, with red fruits such as cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry delicately layered with nuances of black fruits such as blackcurrant and blueberry. As time passes, subtle spice and floral notes emerge, creating an aromatic composition that gives a sense of depth. In the mouth, smooth and charming fruit flavors like strawberry confit and red fruit puree spread, and the dense and supple tannins envelop the whole. The alcohol is modest, and the acidity is beautiful, giving the wine a clear outline and tension. The use of oak is very modest, bringing out the individuality of the fruit while adding softness and texture to the wine. The finish is medium to long, with a pleasant lingering fresh fruitiness and subtle spice.
