Château Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan 2006

Tasting note

A profound aroma of rich ripe black currant, plum, and black cherry, layered with nuances of pencil lead, cedar, smoke, damp earth, and truffle. Silky tannins unfold slowly in the mouth, elegantly blending in the complexity that comes from aging. The minerality and fine acidity support the structure, and the long, quiet finish leaves behind nuances of spice and graphite.

Food pairing

Roasted Wagyu beef fillet with red wine sauce Roasted duck breast with cassis sauce Porcini risotto with black truffles
