Tasting note

Attractive cherry red color with high robes. The nose is powerful, with a straightforward and pleasant aroma. Powerful, direct, and comforting. All the nuances are well-balanced, with notes of black plum, berry, cedar, charred wood, and shrubs, each twirl reveals a new aroma of dry hay. In the mouth, you can feel the complexity and elegance. Flavorful, fresh, without any edge, filling the mouth but not being heavy. The aftertaste is very refined, but leaves a long aftertaste. It has excellent acidity and can be enjoyed for a long time in the bottle.

Winemaking & technical data

Reserva Especial is the first wine we started making from the 2004 vintage. It represents the Maison's style, which is always in pursuit of elegance and harmony. This luscious wine is produced in limited quantities and is only produced in special vintages. Exceptional. Therefore, it is not bottled every year, and this 2014 vintage is made after it was decided not to make it in other vintages. After hand-harvesting (we decided not to make it for the 2012 and 2013 vintages), the different varieties and parcels are vinified separately and aged separately in barrels. The final blend was determined by always keeping in mind the balance with the toasty aroma and highlighting the fruit flavor. This wine is a most international blend, choosing French varieties of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that are well-suited to the region. However, it is also a wine that expresses the terroir of this region. The blending of Tempranillo gives it more complexity, giving it real complexity and authentic Navarra character.
