Etna Rosso 2023 Tornatore

Etna Rosso 2023

Pale in colour, deep with northern Etna.

Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio from Castiglione di Sicilia on Etna's northern slope. Hand-picked, hand-sorted grapes macerate uncrushed in concrete for about 10–12 days; the wine then spends about six months in large barrels and three in bottle. Light ruby with faint purple reflections; small red fruits, morello and black cherry. Balanced tannins, rich savouriness and a long finish. Try it with rosemary lamb chops or tomato pasta.
