Refined Nerello, grown on volcanic sand.

100% Nerello Mascalese grown on the volcanic sands of Contrada Pietrarizzo on Etna's northern slope. Hand-picked grapes macerate for 10–12 days in wooden vats with daily punch-downs, then age for more than a year in wood and concrete and about three months in bottle. Light ruby; small red fruits, flowers and minerality. Structured yet supple and elegant. Pair with roast lamb or mushroom risotto.
