CHATEAU LA MISSION HAUT-BRION 2012

Tasting note
The wine has a concentrated fruity aroma of ripe black cherries, plums, and cassis, with a complex aroma of smoke, cedar, licorice, and spices. The mouthfeel is silky yet has a core of tannins, with a wonderful balance between the sweetness of the fruit and the fresh acidity. The aftertaste is full of minerals and roasted aromas, which speak of the wine's elegant and precise structure. It is still attractive now, but further aging will likely improve its depth.
Food pairing
Roasted duck breast with berry sauce, beef fillet steak with truffle sauce, grilled lamb with herbs
